Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. Growing up, she listened to a lot of classical music and older boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, and all dramatic performances. She began singing and learning the piano with her mom, and commenced more serious training in singing at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of numerous chamber ensembles and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at private parties and events and performs traditional Latin American Music. The passion and love she has in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
